The Magic Bullet

Nothing is ever forgiven
not truly, nought
yet innovative, the bullet
that punishes no-one

Magically plain and just
high driven, even purpose-free
and more
with no dues to its source

Like greased piercing through
garbage bags of tainted leather
that where thought to have been
irrevocably sealed
into bitterness

by a method of brewing
nothing like the bullet
one proud projectile
forged against the friction of air

Scratching fraction of all directions
like thought, only deeper
with a Teflon coating
whistling as it floats by
faster than the eye

All round but sharp enough
to splatter the senses
that thus spread
beyond all walls
and scatter
into presence everywhere

this function
of an aimless hollow-point
the magic of the soothing scar
continuing through and fro.
